Ralph Eugene Johnson, Ed.D., 49, of Bellville passed away on Sunday, April 27, 2014.
He was born in Bellville on Aug. 4, 1964, to the late Bobbie Jean and Eugene Harold Johnson, of Bellville, Texas. Dr. Ralph E. Johnson graduated from Bellville High School. He received a bachelor of science degree in computer science from Sam Houston State University in 1986, a master of science in guidance and counseling from Prairie View A&M University in 1988, completed postgraduate coursework in counseling and human development at Clark Atlanta University in 1989, and a doctor of education in administration and supervision from the University of Houston in 2000. He was currently serving on the faculty of University of Phoenix, teaching several general and introduction courses in Psychology, Education and Research.
Dr. Johnson was a member of the World Harvest Outreach Seventh-Day Adventist Church in Houston.
He is survived by his brother, Dr. Harold Eugene Johnson and sister-in-law Vivian Marie Johnson, of Burleson, Texas, nephews: Eugene Harold Johnson, II, Micah Ryan Johnson niece, Chelsea Briana Johnson, and great niece, Jolie Lauren Johnson. He also leaves to mourn a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, and many, many dear friends.
A memorial service will be held at World Harvest Outreach Seventh-Day Adventist Church, 10800-A Scott Street, Houston, Texas, 77047. The service will take place at 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 3, 2014.
