Carol Sue (Susie) Juergens, 73, of Bellville, was taken home to be with our Lord on Wednesday, April 9, 2014 in Dickinson.
Susie was born November 19, 1940 in Bellville to parents Ben and Alida Wehring Maresh. She grew up in Bleiblerville attending school in Welcome and graduated from Bellville High School.
Susie was united in marriage with Conrad Juergens, Jr. on May 28, 1960 at the Nelsonville Brethren Church in Nelsonville. They made their home in Cat Spring. After Conrad’s death, Susie moved to Bellville where she lived until January of 2014. At that time, she moved to an assisted living facility near her daughter and son-in-law.
For 47 years, Susie was an employee of The First National Bank in Bellville where she worked in many different positions ranging from bookkeeping to assistant cashier to assistant vice president. She loved visiting with all of the customers and developing long lasting friendships with them and her co-workers. Susie’s hobbies included traveling, reading, and ‘antiquing’. All someone would have to mention was ‘there’s an estate sale or garage sale’ and she would be dressed and ready to go! She loved spending time with her family, especially her granddaughters.
Susie is survived by her children Mitchell Dean Juergens of Sealy, Rexanne Singh and her husband, Sanjay of Friendswood, Dwayne Alan Juergens and his wife Karen of Cat Spring, granddaughters Katy Singh and Alyssa Singh: brothers Barry Maresh of Bleiblerville, and Donnie Maresh and wife Laurece of Brenham. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and nephew, Trason Maresh.
A Memorial Service was held on Tuesday, April 15, at 10 a.m. at the Nelsonville Brethren Church in Nelsonville, with Brother Michael Groseclose officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial gifts to the Nelsonville Brethren Church, 332 Nelsonville Church Road, Bellville, Texas 77418.
