Funeral services for Leroy Marburger, 68 of Navasota (formerly of Sealy) were held Sunday,
July 9, 1995 at 2:30 pm from Knesek Bros./Etlinger funeral Chapel in Sealy with Rev.
Gilbert Olivarez officiating. Interment was in the Sealy Cemetery.
Pallbearers for the service were Wayne Rucker, Sid Wagner, George Rucker, W. E.
Sontag, Raymond Hillebrand and Paul Raschke.
Leroy Marburger was born on Nov. 20, 1926 in Sealy to parents Elo Alfred and
Emily Hartman Marburger. He was raised in Sealy and graduated in 1944 from
Sealy High School. He served his country during World War 11 in the United States
Navy and had worked as a machinist fo T.F.E.Company, a Teflon manufactuer in Brenham.
On Sept. 19, 1980 he married the former Miss Emma Ruth Rucker in Anderson.
Mr. Marburger died Thursday, July 6 in a Navasota Hospital.
Survivors include his wife, Emma Ruth Marburger of Navasota; sisters, Ora Dell
Dittmar of Houston, Nelda Marburger and Delta Marburger of Sealy; nieces,
Sharon Wagner and husband Sid and their daughter, Melissa of Houston; Beverly
Raschke and husband Paul and their children Meredith and Christopher of Houston.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Elo and Emily Marburger; sister,
Viola Marburger and brother-in-law, Finley Dittmar.
