HISTORY:This building is known to be used as a jail facility as early as 1870 as the Commissioners court minutes indicate that there was a jail when they discuss window repair, the white-washing, and the care of prisoners by Sheriff Stendebach. The building was vacated as a jail in 1986 when a new facility was built off of Adler Road.
This old building was renovated and used as county offices.
