HISTORY: This house was the home of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Ammann in
the 1920's. Mrs. Ammann was a nurse who worked with Dr. Nooe. In doing so she
opened her home to be used as a Birthing Hospital. Babies were delivered here
and the mother and baby stayed in the nursing facility for nursing care
afterward. In those days new mothers stayed in bed for ten days to two weeks
after childbirth.
The house was renovated and remodelled extensively by
Gordon Waldeck in the 1990's.
