SALT BRANCH CEMETERY

Located in the community of Salt Branch or Richland.  A single grave located on the south side of the road just inside the Bee County line on FM623.   Marked with a cross inside a deer proof fence.

Last few times I could not see it anymore from the highway.

It was published in the quarterly of the South Texas Genealogical Society, Inc., Summer 1994, Vol. 6 No. 2, pg 39.

"This cemetery is on D. MALEY's land and has no fence and all of the wooden markers have fallen down. 1959 - These names were given to me by Zoe BALLARD who lived most of her life on the BALLARD land joining the old Salt Branch School Land.



Only one stone is in the cemetery:     Joshua SMITH      Aug. 1, 1850 - Apr 23, 1912
      Joshua SMITH's granddaughter is Lynn A. SMITH, P. O. Box 613, George West, TX 78022.
