Lucius Bowling LeBleu & (1)Mary Loretto Hunter; (2) Dora White

 

Lucius Bowling LeBleu was born December 11, 1856 and Calcasieu Parrish, Louisiana.

 

He was the son of Francois Arsene "Frank" LeBleu b. 01 Jun 1828 Calcasieu Parrish, LA d. 18 Apr 1866 Paris, LA and Maria Catherine Brashier, b. 22 Mar 1834 Vermilionville, Lafayette Parrish, LA, d. 05 Jan 1919 Kenedy, Karnes Co., TX; buried Kenedy, TX; d/o Thomas Brashier.  Frank and Maria Catherine Brashier married 29 Aug 1854 in Calcasieu Parrish, LA.

He married (1)Mary Loretto Hunter on November 26, 1885 and Bee county, Texas; she is buried in the Mineral Cemetery, Bee County, Texas.  She was the daughter of H. W. and A. Hunter.

NOTE:  From the Mineral, TX history, "In 1877 Mineral was a Tent City. There were three stores, operated by F. B. Malone, J. T. Byus, and J. L. Archer; a stone gristmill‑, post office (Mineral City), with Porter Neal as postmaster and W. Rush as Beeville‑Mineral‑Oakville mail carrier‑, Dr. T. B. Brashear established the first drug store and opened a school in the building in 1877 with J. E. Malone as teacher. Later George Freeman and H. W. Hunter taught around sixty pupils as the boom continued".  Past Worshipful Master of the Beeville Masonic Lodge  - 1884, H. W. Hunter.

 

I find no children born to Lucius Bowling LeBleu and Mary Loretto Hunter.

He married (2) Dora White on February 21, 1894 in Mineral, Bee County, Texas. She was born 12 Aug 1875 Mineral, TX.  She died March 13, 1958 in Taylor, Williamson County, Texas in the John's Clinic and Hospital and is buried in the Taylor City Cemetery, Taylor, Williamson County, Texas. She was the daughter of Ellison C. White. (information from death certificate)

 

Lucius Bowling LeBleu and Dora White were divorced by 1920 where L.B. LeBleu is on the 1920 census living with his brother in Karnes Co., TX and shown as divorced.

3. Thomas Arsene LeBleu was born April 13, 1866 in Lake Charles, Louisiana. He died May 8, 1942 in Tuleta, Bee County, Texas; his death certificate states he is buried in Beeville, Bee County, Texas. He was married to Mary Elizabeth "Betty" Jones.

    a.  Marvin Arsene LeBleu b. 26 Mar 1897 Mineral, TX & d. 21 Oct 1965 Rockport, Aransas Co., TX in the Bayview Nursing Home.  He was retired from the Fish & Game Commission and was in WWI.  He is buried in the Rockport Cemetery, Rockport, Aransas Co., TX.

    b.  Frank Walker LeBleu b. 02 Jan 1888 Mineral, TX; d. 17 Oct 1952 Kenedy, Karnes Co., TX; buried in City Cemetery #1, Kenedy, Karnes Co., TX.  His occupation was Barber; informant on death certificate was Mrs. Katherine LeBleu.  He married Laura Elizabeth Busby b. 21 Jun 1892 TX d. 03 Oct 1933 San Antonio, Bexar Co., TX; daughter of L.S. Busby & Martha Harryman.  Informant on death certificate L.S. Busby of San Antonio, TX; she was buried Kenedy, TX.

     d.  Fay Addeaf LeBleu b. 15 Jan 1910 Kenedy, Karnes Co., TX; d. 27 Jul 1940 San Antonio, Bexar Co., TX; death certificate show she was buried at Beeville, Bee Co., TX.  She married a man by the surname of Bouldin; informant on death certificate is W.S. Bouldin, Coker Loop, San Antonio, TX.
