Funeral services for Esther Baca, 86, of La Grange are set for Friday, Jan. 10 [2003] at 2 p.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in La Grange with burial to follow in the La Grange City Cemetery. The Rev. Msgr. Harry Mazurkiewicz will officiate.

Baca died Tuesday, Jan. 7 [2003].

Born Sept. 26, 1916 in Ammannsville, she was the daughter of Joseph and Esther (Barta) Barton. She married Anton C. (Tom) Baca Oct. 13, 1937 in La Grange. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Altar Society, and a member of the Warda Home Demonstration Club.

Survivors include two sons, Thomas Wayne Baca and wife Marguerite of Austin and William L. (Billy) Baca and wife Marilyn of Giddings; one daughter, Judy Lynn McMillen and husband Joseph of Austin; six grandchildren, Tammy Voiers and husband Micah of Ft. Worth, Dana Winslette and husband Walter Eric, Stacy Jones and husband Mason, and Amanda McMillen, all of Austin, Christie Mitschke and husband Troy of Giddings, and Steven Baca of Irving; three great-grandchildren, Jordan and Brandon Mitschke, both of Giddings and Georgia Winslette of Austin; and one sister-in-law, Lenora Kallus of Luling.

She was preceded in death by her husband; one son, Daniel Robert Baca; parents, two sisters, Vlasta Bush and Annie Jacobs; and two brothers, Edmund and Joseph Barton.

Memorials are suggested to the Sacred Heart Catholic Church Altar Society.

Sergeant Memorial Funeral Home of La Grange was in charge of arrangements.
