Victoria Advocate January 24, 2003 She was born Aug. 30, 1915, in Kovar, to the late Joe and Genevive Janacek Matocha. She was a homemaker and a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Flatonia. She was a member of the KJZT. Survivors: daughters, Kathleen Miller of Victoria, Alice Fajkus of Katy and Doris Narro of Knoxville, Tenn.; stepdaughter, Anita Hilbert of St. Albans, W.Va.; sons, James Bacak of El Campo, Ray Bacak of Moulton, Glenn Bacak of Austin and Lee J. Bacak of Schulenburg; sisters, Annie Tupa of San Antonio and Wilma Stryk of Rosenberg; brothers, Charlie Matocha and Franklin Matocha, both of Rosenberg, and Ted Matocha of Victoria; 18 grandchildren; two step grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by: husband, Julius Bacak; parents; one sister; and two brothers. A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. tonight at Smith Funeral Home chapel in Flatonia. Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, the Rev. Charles B. Carolan officiating. Burial will be at Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery.
