Funeral services for Matthew Allen Bargas, 11, of Hallettsville, and grandson of Joe G. and Andrea Bargas of Weimar and La Grange, were held Sun Nov 25 at 2PM at Sacred Heart Catholic church in Hallettsville. Burial was in the church cemetery. Rev. John Peters officiated.

Bargas died Nov 22, 2001.

He was born Feb 18 1990 in Victoria, the son of Davie Allen and Virginia Juanita Silgero Bargas. He was a member of the fifth grade class at Hallettsville Junior High School and Sacred Heart Catholic church. He was also a member of the Hallettsville Little League Baseball and Double Dribbler Basketball League.

Survivors include his parents, Davie and Virginia Bargas of Hallettsville; one sister, Amada Bargas of Hallettsville; one brother, Michael Silgero of Sugar Land; and grandparents, Joe G and Andrea Bargas of Weimar.

He was preceded in death by his cousin, Adrinmuniz Inez Silgero; and grandparents, Phillip and Andrea Silgero.

Kubena Funeral Home of Hallettsville was in charge of arrangements.
