Funeral services for Ralph Harvey Barnes, 82, were held Sep 27 with Rev Gene Vickrey officiating. Burial followed in Woodlawn Garden of Memories Cemetery.

He died Sep 23 in Houston. He was born May 9, 1918 in Centralia, Mo.

He served in the US Army during WW II in the European theater, member of VFW Post 9183, American Legion and SPJST Lodge 142 in Houston.

Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Helen Barnes; sons, Alan Barnes, Maury Barnes & wife Kattri; brother, Leo Barnes; sisters, Thelma Fothergill, Joella Parker, Ada Mabry and Beulah Redia; grandchildren, Chad and Rachel Barnes; great-granddaughter, Ryann Marquez.
