Adolph James Baros passed away on September 10, 2002.

He was born in Shiner, Texas on April 11, 1918.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Virginia Calma Baros of Houston; daughter, Sandra Faries of Beaumont (husband Paul); son, James Baros of Round Rock (wife Donna); and grandchildren, Laura Meek of Dallas, Sean and Michael Faries of Beaumont, Emilie and Abigail Baros of Round Rock; brother, Victor Baros of San Diego; and sister Ann Heerssen of Benton, Arkansas.

He was preceded in death by his parents John and Emilie Baros, brothers Anton and William Baros, sister, Emilie McNatt, and granddaughter Kristen Faries.

He was a US Navy submarine veteran of WW II.

He remained active in the Czech Heritage Society of Texas and the U.S. Submarine Veterans.

The visitation will be Friday, September 13, 6-8 p.m. at Pat H. Foley, 1200 W 34th, Houston, Tx. Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, September 14 at St. Michael's Episcopal Church, 1613 W. 43rd Houston, Tx.

Instead of flowers, gifts may be made to St. Michael's Memorial Fund, Texas Czech Heritage and Cultural Center, Box 6, La Grange, Tx 78945-0006, or Czech Culture Center of Houston, 2315 Del Norte, Houston Tx 77018-1018
