Funeral services were held Saturday, September 29, at 2 p.m. at St. James Catholic Church in Gonzales with Rev. James Kotara officiating. Burial followed in St. James Catholic Cemetery. Rosary was recited Friday, September 28 at 7 p.m. at Seydler-Hill Chapel. Mr. Baros, on of a family of 13, was born October 28, 1899 in Shiner, son of Frank and Christina Martinak Baros, both natives of Czechoslovakia. He was married on November 22, 1919 in Shiner to Albina Christina Pavlicek, who died on January 19, 1967. He was a retired farmer and lived on Village Drive. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Alfons (Stella) Barta of Gonzales and Mrs. August (Angeline) Petras of Cost and one son, Lawrence Baros of League City; two sisters, Mrs. Cecil (Justine) Harvey of McAllen; Mrs. Louis (Christine) Champion of Mississippi; a brother, Martin Baros of Shiner; nine grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his mother on March 6, 1933; his
father on August 24, 1946; six brothers, Jimmie Baros who died at
the age of 14 years; Frank Baros, Jr. who died on September 12,
1951; William J. "Bill" Baros who died on August 15, 1958; John A.
Baros who died on October 14, 1961; Albert L. Baros who died on
December 8, 1964; Lt. Col. Judy James Baros, USAF (Ret.) on February
5, 1980; three sisters, Mrs. H. R. (Celestina "Sallie") Brunner who
died on July 25, 1979 and Frances Baros and Mary Baros who died in
