The body lay in state at the Buffington Funeral Home, Yoakum, where rosary was recited at 7:45 p.m. Mon March 16 led by the Rev. Michael O'Shaughnessy. The K of C rosary was recited jointly with the parish. The body was conveyed to St. Joseph's Catholic Church at 1 p.m. Tues March 17 where a Requiem Mass was offered at 2 p.m. by the Rev. Al Padalecki. The body was brought to Shiner for burial in the Catholic Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers were his nephews, Frankie Baros of San Antonio, Jimmie Spann of Houston, Bill Harry of Pasadena, Clarence Bohuslav of Moulton, Johnnie Vrazel of Corpus Christi, and Edward Simper, Raymond Spann and Adolph Spann, all of Victoria. Rudolph J. Baros, one of 13 children, was born January 23, 1903 at Kokernot, Gonzales County, Texas, son of Florian and Rosalia Zajicek Baros, natives of (Moravia) Czechoslovakia. He was reared on the family farm that his parents established in 1892 coming here from Frelsburg, Colorado County, Texas. He attended Kokernot School and then worked for Ed Gehrels at the Texaco Agency in Shiner. He was married November 8, 1926, to Albina Spann in the Sts. Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church in Shiner by the Rev. L. P. Netardus. They made their home in Shiner and Moulton. He worked for a pressing shop in Shiner and at the latter place, he had the Sinclair Agency. Thirty-five years ago, they moved to Yoakum, where they operated a pressing shop for 23 years. He retired from the business two years ago. Mr. Baros was a lifelong member of the Catholic Church and was also a member of the Knights of Columbus. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Albina Spann Baros of Yoakum; son and daughter-in-law, Robert Lee and Bertha (Roy) Baros of Austin; three brothers, Emil Baros of Shiner, Adolph Baros of San Antonio, and Ed Baros of Placedo; five sisters, Mrs. John (Frances) Jurek, and Mrs. Joe (Albina) Vrazel, both of Shiner; Mrs. John (Christina) Vrazel of Corpus Christi, Mrs. Adolf (Pauline) Jaks of Houston, and Mrs. Louis (Emma) Barkemeyer of San Antonio. He was preceded in death by his mother on August 10, 1929; his
father on August 10, 1941; two brothers, John F. Baros on January 8,
1961; Frank Baros on July 1, 1969; two sisters, Julie Baros on
August 20, 1919 at the age of 19; and Paulina who died in infancy at
