Lillian A. Baros, age 83 years, 1 month, and 3 days of Yoakum died Wed Jan 15 1997.

A rosary was recited at 7 PM Fri Jan 17 at the Buffington Funeral Home Chapel.

Services were held at 1 PM Sat Jan 18 at St. Joseph Catholic Church with the Rev. Gary Janak officiating.

Burial was at the Shiner Catholic Cemetery under the direction of Buffington Funeral Home, Yoakum.

Serving as pallbearers were Vic Novak, Charles Kvinta, Sr., John Bitterly, Don Bitterly, Felix Marek, and A. G. Hermann III.

She was born Dec 12 1913 in Gonzales County to the late Anton and Agnes Brenner Spann. The homemaker was a member of the Yoakum Community Hospital Auxiliary and St. Joseph Catholic Church.

She is survived by her husband, Robert A. Baros; one daughter, Jo Ann Wenske of Yoakum; two sisters, Albina Baros of Yoakum and Sophie Baros of Shiner, four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Baros was preceded in death by her father on July 27, 1962; her mother on November 6, 1947; and five brothers - Matt Spann on April 10, 1984; Frank J. Spann on May 18, 1993; Joe A. "Rusty" Spann on February 20, 1987; James J. Spann on August 21, 1989 and Anton Spann, Jr. who died at the age of three, about 1903.
