El Campo- Geneva Smith Barosh, 84, of El Campo, died Friday, April 19, 2002.

She was born Feb. 25, 1918, in Danevang, to the late Andrew and Annie Jensen Smith. She was a member of Danevang Lutheran Church and the VFW Ladies Auxiliary. She was a homemaker.

Survivors: daughter, Diane Moore of El Campo; sons, Dannie Barosh of Van Vleck and Jimmie Barosh of Danevang; sister, Helen Bena of Wharton; 10 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by: parents; sisters, Mona Jespersen, Hilda Michaelsen, Esther Harton, Lilly Hiltpold and Bernice Smith; and brothers, Oscar Smith, Harold Smith and Clifford Smith.

Visitation will begin noon today at Triska Funeral Home chapel.

Services will be 3 p.m. Monday at Danevang Lutheran Church, the Rev. Laird Engle officiating. Burial will be at Danevang Lutheran Cemetery.
