Julia Barta Funeral Service

Flatonia - Mrs. Julia Barta, 78, of Flatonia died Friday, Aug. 12, 1983 in a Weimar hospital after a long illness.

Rosary was recited Saturday, Aug. 13 at 7:30 p.m. at the Smith Funeral Home chapel in Flatonia where the body lay in state.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Flatonia. The Rev. Anthony Matula officiated.

Burial followed in the Praha Catholic Cemetery at Praha. Serving as pallbearers were Sammy Migl, Mark Migl, Gene Mikulik, Lawrence Schulhab, Julius Pospisil and Ernest Faltysek.

Mrs. Barta was born Oct. 8, 1905, in Praha to Pete and Anna (Mikulik) Faltysek. She was preceded in death by her husband Edwin Barta who died in 1955.

She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Dorothy and Bodie Migl of Flatonia, a son, Marvin Barta of Flatonia; a brother, Julius Faltysek of Victoria; a sister, Mrs. Anna Greive of Conroe; and two grandsons.
