We are gathered here this afternoon to pay our last tributes to Mr. Otto Joseph Barta, who passed away at 9:10 p.m., Thursday February 23, 1956 at his home in Weimar, Texas

Out of his family of 3 brothers and 3 sisters, he is survived by 2 brother, Edmund and Albert Barta of Weimar, 2 sisters; Mrs. Julia Hoegemeyer of Columbus and Mrs. Emilie Knetka of Weimar. One bother , Emil Barta and one sister, Annie, passed away previously.

Along with his brothers and sisters, he is survived by his dear wife, Mrs. Mary, nee Knetka, Barta, who were married in the year of 1905. They had been married for over 50 years. They had no children of their own, but had raised their nephew from the time he was two and a half years old. Thanks to the loving care of Mr. and Mrs. Otto Barta, their nephew George Barta of Dallas is like unto a surviving son.
