Schulenburg -- Emily Barta, 83, of Schulenburg, died Tuesday, Jan. 22, 2002.

Survivors: daughter, Nancy Jackson of Gonzales; sisters, Helen Kubecek of Dallas, Margaret Raemsch of Smithville, Carolyn Zurovec of Austin, Sister Alexia Vinklarek of San Antonio, Edna Migl of Flatonia and Gladys Holub of Moulton; brother, Alex Vinklarek of Flatonia; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Preceded in death by: husband, Edwin Barta; parents, Alexander and Agnes Vinklarek; and brother, the Rev. Emil Vinklarek.

Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Friday at Schwenke-Baumgarten Funeral Home chapel and 9:15 a.m. until service time Saturday at St. Rose Catholic Church.

A rosary will be recited 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home chapel. A KJZT rosary will be recited 9:30 a.m. Saturday at the church.

Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at the church, the Rev. Tim Kosler officiating.

Burial will be at St. Rose Catholic Cemetery in Schulenburg. Schwenke- Baumgarten Funeral Home, Schulenburg, 409-743-4151.

Memorials: St. Rose Catholic Church or church of donor's choice.
