Wallace Warren Barta Jr., 50, went home to be with the Lord Tuesday, December 4, 2001 in Houston, Texas.

He is survived by his son, Joshua Barta; parents, Wallace and Helen Barta; sisters, Pamela Runnels and husband Kenneth, Jennifer Chandler and husband Paul; brothers, Robert Young and wife Ginger, Preston Wooten and wife Cherly, Ronald "Chip"Reuss; numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held Thursday, December 6, 2001 from 7-9 p.m. at Rosewood Funeral Home. Funeral services are Friday, December 7, 2001 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Rosewood with Rev. Charles Oak, Minister of Missions, of Forest Cove Baptist Church officiating. Interment will follow at Rosewood Memorial Park Humble, Texas.

In lieu of flowers, the family would like to give special thanks to Dr. John Lerma & staff and requests donations be made to Vitas Hospice.
