Wanda Darlene (Volkmann) Bartek, 49, of Weimar died Nov 1 at Heart Hospital of Austin. Funeral services were held Sun. Nov 5 at Faith Lutheran Church with theRev Vernon Rabel officiating.

Born Oct 16, 1951 in San Antonio, she was the daughter of Milton and Margaret (Crow) Volkmann. She married Julius E Bartek in St Hedwig.

Mrs. Bartek was the director of Evaluation and Support Services for Fayette Memorial Hospital of La Grange. She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church in Weimar. She was a graduate of East Central High School and Wharton Jr. College and the American Medical Record Association.

Survivors include her husband, Julius E Bartek of Weimar, sons and daughters, Darren Wade Bartek and Tara Leight Dilley and husband Dwayne, all of Weimar, and Rhoda Michele Bartek of La Grange; brothers and sisters; Billy and Bernice Volkmann and Darrell and Sylvia Volkmann of San Antonio and Jeff and Christine Volkmann of La Vernia; and nieces and nephews.

Hubbard Funeral Home in Weimar was in charge of arrangements. --
