Yoakum -- Annie Marie Bartels, 92, of Yoakum, died Monday, Feb. 4, 2002.

She was born Sept. 1, 1909, in Lavaca County, to the late Paul and Matilda Brode Pilzner. She was a homemaker and a Lutheran.

Survivors: son, Sherman Bartels of Yoakum; sisters, Tillie Schmidt of Yoakum and Ella Kocian of Hallettsville; brother, Robert Pilzner of Victoria; two grand children; 7 great-grandchildren; and one great- great-grandchild.

Preceded in death by: husband, Emil Bartels; and parents.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Buffington Funeral Home chapel, the Rev. Gary Goodson officiating. Burial will be at Oak Grove Cemetery. Buffington Funeral Home, Yoakum, 361-293-2333.

Memorials: Holy Cross Lutheran Church.
