Funeral services for Agnes (Kaase) Eben, 88, of the Welcome area were held Feb 2 at Salem Lutheran Church of Welcome with Rev Walter Schindehette officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery.

She died Jan 31 in Brenham. She was born Sept 18, 1911 in Bleiberville, the daughter of Ernest and Mary (Psencik) Kaase. She married Harry Eben on March 27, 1934 in the New Wehdem community.

She was educated in the Santa Anna schools in Austin county. She was a homemaker and was a member of Salem Lutheran church of Welcome. She was preceded in death by her parents; an infant son; and brothers, Walter Kaase and Roger Kaase.

Survivors include her husband; sons and daughters-in-law, Leslie & Vernell "Nellie" Eben of Brenham, Clarence & Carol Eben of Brenham;grandchildren, Terry and Mary Eben of Industry, Lorne and Lori Eben, Brian and Lisa Eben, Catherine Eben and Cynthia Eben, all of Brenham; great-grandchildren, Laura and Lance Eben and Deena and Mitchell Eben all of Brenham; brother and sisters-in-law, Edgar & Ora Nell Kaase of Brehnham and Elsie Eben of Bellville; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers were her grandsons Terry, Lorne & Brian Eben; and Daniel Mertz, Lawrence Eben and Edward Lee Eben.

Funeral handled by Brenham Memorial Chapel.
