Victoria Advocate July 10, 2003 Yoakum - William J. Eilers, 81, of Yoakum, died Tuesday, July 8, 2003. He was born July 7, 1922, in Petersville, DeWitt County, to the late August and Otielie Regner Eilers. He was a retired farmer and retired from Emerson Feed Store. He was a World War II veteran, serving in the U.S. Army and a 50-year member of the Hermann Sons. He was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church. Survivors: daughters, Joyce Tenberg, Pamela Migl and Rhonda Faltesek, all of Yoakum; sisters, Viola Havlik of Yoakum and Evelyn Salena of Port Lavaca; brother, Victor Eilers of Channelview; and six grandchildren. Preceded in death by: wife, Margaret L. Eilers; and daughter, Marilyn Kay Prause. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. today at Buffington Funeral Home chapel. Services will be 2 p.m. Friday at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, the Rev. Gary Goodson officiating. Burial will be at Hermann Sons Cemetery. Buffington Funeral Home, Yoakum, 361-293-2333.
