Funeral services for Victor C. Elias, 84, of La Grange were held April 7 at St Paul Lutheran Church in La Grange with the Rev. Larry Johnson officiating. Burial followed at La Grange City Cemetery.

He died April 5 in La Grange. He was born April 28, 1915 in the Kirtley Community in Fayette County, the son of John and Betty (Zehnal) Elias. He married Marian Menking on Oct. 17, 1948 in La Grange. He was affiliated with St Paul Lutheran Church in La Grange.

He was preceded in death by his wife; parents; 4 half-brothers and a half-sister.

Survivors include a son, James and wife Sharon Elias of La Grange; a step-daughter, Carol Scarborough Holm of Stockholm, Sweden; sister, Vesta Elias Horton of Kirtley; a brother-in-law, Melvin Menking of Plum; 5 grandchildren; and a great-grandson.

Funeral handled by Sergeant Memorial Funeral Home of La Grange.
