He was born in Shiner, Texas, on February 24, 1921, to Louis and Agnes Palitza Ermis. He was a veteran of WWII and a retired farmer. He was preceded in death by his wife of 45 years, Marjorie Bowden Ermis; his parents; his brothers; Louis, Julius, Edwin, William, and Eddie; his sisters, Lillie Hajek, Carrie Schmidt and Lollie Rektorik. He is survived by his wife, Jo Ann Ermis of Sinton, Texas; one son, Jim (Cheryl) Ermis of Sinton, Texas; one daughter Janet (Joe) Caddel of Las Vegas, Nevada; one grandson, Jeffery Ermis and fiancée, Dana Dixon of Arlington, Texas; two granddaughters, Kelly (Paul) Meier of Littleton, Colorado, and Amy Ermis of Sinton, Texas; one great granddaughter , Alex Meier of Littleton, Colorado; one brother, Ernest (Beth) Ermis of Mathis, Texas; brothers-in-law, Al Grunow of Corpus Christi, Texas, and Bill (Bettie) Bowden of San Dimas, California. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m., Sunday, January 20, 2002, at the Richea-Gonzales Funeral Home Chaper. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Sinton, Texas. Interment will follow in the Sinton Cemetery in Sinton. Pallbearers will be Sid Brough, Robert Rieder, Steve Hutchins,
