She was born June 10, 1914, in Stratton, to the late William S. and Minnie Mae Smith Kirkland. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church. She was a member of the Women of the Church Sewing Club. Survivors: sister, Willie Fechner of Yorktown; and brother, Sterling Kirkland of Copperas Cove. Preceded in death by: husband, Albert J. Ermis; daughter, Kay Annette Ermis; parents; sisters, Artie Mae Kuester, Beulah York, Frances Bauer and Pauline Mueller; and brother, Edward M. Kirkland. Visitation will be 6:30-8 p.m. tonight at Freund Funeral Home chapel. Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home chapel, the Rev. Steve Byrne officiating.
