Mrs. Louis "Margie" Gajdosik, 78, of West, passed away, Sunday June 10, 2001 at West Rest Haven. Mass of Chrisitian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption in West with the Rev. Ed Karasek as celebrant. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery at West. Rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Monday at Aderhold Funeral home Chapel. Mrs. Gajdosik was born September 21, 1922 in West, to Vinc and Julia Chudej. She attended St. Mary's School in West. She married Louis Joseph Gajdosik on August 14, 1944 in West. She was a homemaker and enjoyed spending time with her family. She was co-owner of Gajdosik Shoe Service in West for 35 years with her husband until their retirement in 1983. Margie loved quilting for her family and friends, working with embroidery and canning garden vegetables. She was a member of KJZT Society No. 11and the Catholic Daughters of America Court No. 829 in West. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption and St. Anne's Altar Society. She was preceded in death by her husband on Feb. 27, 1997; and a daughter Margie Rejcek on August 20, 1998. Survivors include her son Louis C. Gajdosik and wife Pam of West; daughter Cathy Kilgore and husband Michael of Austin; son-in-law, Eugene Rejcek of West; brother Ben Chudej of West; several sisters-in-law; grandchildren, Shawn Rejcek of Corsicana, Michael D. Kilgore of Austin and Amanda Gajdosik of West; several nieces and nephews.
