Funeral services for Elfices (Herr) Gebhard, 84, of Fayetteville were held Jan 3 at Pilgrims Rest Cemetery in Industry with Deacon Mike Meismer officiating. She died Jan 1 in Austin. She was born Dec 7, 1915 in Industry, the son of Christian and Anita (Dippel) Herr. She married Clinton Gebhard on Oct 29, 1929 in Warrenton. She lived in Industry until the death of her husband in 1944 after which time she moved to Houston where she worked. She retired in April 1982 and moved to Fayetteville. She was a member of the Lutheran faith. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; 3 sisters; a nephew and a great-nephew. Survivors include 2 nephews, Delphine Stoelke & wife Dorine of Brenham, and Delton Stoelke & wife Alice of Katy; niece, Jean Sladek of Corpus Christi;numerous great-nieces, great-nephews and great-great-neices and nephews and several cousins. Pallbearers were Jeffrey Stoelk, Kenny Stoelke, Jeff Kaltwasser, Rodney Sladek, Robert Main, Ted Fritsch, Michael Stoelke and Cary Grayson. Funeral handled by Koenig & Strickland Funeral Home of La Grange and Knesek Chapel in Fayetteville.
