Kathryn Dunn Gieptner, a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Unit 364, a retired nurse, formerly active on the state level in the Texas State Association of Occupational Health Nurses and a member of Most Precious Blood Catholic Church, died Aug. 14, 2000. She was 74.

Survivors include her husband, J. J.; two sons, Jim Gieptner of Corpus Christi and George Gieptner of San Antonio; a brother, William Dunn of Kingsville; and two grandchildren.

Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Aug. 16 at Maxwell P. Dunne Funeral Home. Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Aug. 17 at Most Precious Blood Catholic Church. Burial will be in Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, San Antonio.
