Frank Glomb, 74, of West, passed away Wednesday Nov. 14, 2001 in Waco.

Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Friday at Aderhold Funeral Home Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Martin's Catholic Church in Tours, with the Rev. Isidore Rozyncki as celebrant. Burial will be at St. Martin's Cemetery in Tours.

Mr. Glomb was born Dec. 12, 1926 in Tours, to Louis and Clara Glomb. He attended schools in Ross, Tours and West before graduating in 1945. He served his country wit the U.S. Army during WWII.

He married Irene Straten on April 6, 1948 in Tours. He worked for General Tire and Rubber Co. in Waco for 38 years before retiring in August, 1986. He was a member of United Rubber Workers Union Local No. 312 and Catholic Life. He was also a member of St. Martin's Catholic Church for most of his life.

He enjoyed spending time on his farm, listening to Czech music, having morning coffee at Ole Czech Bakery, tending to his pecan crop, being outdoors, all sports, especially those involving his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife Irene, of West; sons, David Glomb and wife Johnie of West, Richard Glomb and wife Debbie of Waco; Kenneth Glomb of West; daughter Adele Ramirez of Waco; brother Norbert Glomb of Ozark, Ark.; sister, Elvera Vrba of Angleton; grandchildren, Keven and Kristi Glomb, Katie Glomb, Amy and Joan Ramirez, and several nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to St. Martin's C.C.E. or Providence Hospice.
