Halettsville -- Rose Grafe, 77, of Hallettsville, died Friday, March 29, 2002.

She was born July 30, 1924, in Hallettsville, to the late Theodore H. and Mary Louise Leopold Grahmann.

She was a member of Christen Mothers and Sacred Heart Church of Hallettsville.

Survivors: husband, Fred Grafe; daughters, Rose Mary Sedlar of Houston, Joyce Young of Manchaca, Carolyn Brosch and Mary Wenske, both of Yoakum, Theresa Pekar of Hallettsville and Anne Chunda of Shiner; sons, Jim Grafe, Patrick Grafe, Donald Grafe and John Grafe, all of Hallettsville, Bob Grafe of Austin, Edward Grafe of Waxahachie and Gerald Grafe of Spring; sisters, Lena Grafe of Hallettsville, Elizabeth Eilers of Fredericksburg, Margaret Eilers of Baytown and Agatha Castecka of Houston; brother, Ervin Grahmann of Carson City, Nev.; 39 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by: parents; brothers, Victor Grahmann and Alphonse Grahmann; and grandson, Russell Grafe.

Visitation will be 2:30 p.m. today at Kubena Funeral Home chapel. A rosary will be recited 7 p.m. tonight at the funeral home chapel and 10 a.m. Monday at Sacred Heart Church.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at the church, the Rev. John Peters officiating.

Burial will be at Sacred Heart Cemetery. Kubena Funeral Home, Hallettsville, 361-798-3271.
