Vanderbilt - Lena Gregurek, 102, of Vanderbilt, died Saturday, April 5, 2003. She was born March 9, 1901, in Taiton, to the late August and Louise Sekora Pratka. She worked in the cafeteria at Industrial ISD and in the rectory at St. John Bosco Catholic Church, where she was also a member. She was a homemaker. Survivors: daughters, Aileen Cantrell of Vanderbilt and Norma Speck of Houston; sisters, Agnes Tomas of Vanderbilt and Helen Bowden of Kingsville; 12 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by: husband, Stanley Gregurek; son, Jerry Gregurek; parents; sisters, Olga Juroskie and Minnie Sablatura; and brothers, Fred Pratka, Bill Pratka, John Pratka, Jerome Pratka, Alfred Pratka and Joe Pratka. A rosary will be recited 7 p.m. tonight at Slavik Funeral Home chapel. Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at St. John Bosco Catholic Church, the Rev. Johnson Owusu-Boateng officiating.
