San Antonio Express 12 Apr 1959 Mr. A. S. "Tony" Greive, 1105 Bandera Rd., passed away in a local hospital Thursday, April 9 at the age of 65 years. Survivors: Wife, Mrs. Pauline "Sweetie" Greive; daughter, Mrs. Mardi Jean Johnson city; sisters, Mrs. Tillie Janek, Mrs. Annie Okrulik, both of Flatonia, Texas, Mrs. Emma Baulek, Yoakum, Texas, Mrs. Mary Janek, Schulenberg, Texas; brothers, Emil, Henry, and Louie Greive, all of Flatonia, Texas, Richard Greive, Victoria, Texas, Willie and Ed, both of Flatonia; three grandchildren. Rosary will be recited in Holy Rosary Chapel Sunday, April 12, at 7:30 p.m. Requiem High Mass will be offered Monday, April 13, at 9:30 a.m. in Holy Rosary Chapel with Rev. Louis A. Trawalter, S.M., officiating. Interment will be in Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery with full military honors. The remains will lie in state in Rosary Chapel in Holy Rosary Church. Mr. Greive was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church, a member of Knights of Columbus, Hermann Sons, Harmonia Lodge No. 1, Elks Club, the Texas Restaurant Assn., and the Texas Livestock Assn. He had been in the restaurant business since 1926. Honorary pallbearers will be Bob Brown, Ben Leonard, Chas. W. Kelsey, Burt Andrews, M.J. Chagnard, and W. Woodward. Pallbearers will be William Pollock, Ed Auge Sr., Albert Johnson, Mose Sanderson, Ernest DeWinne and Jimmy Hartsell.
