Shiner Gazette 12 Oct 1972 Mrs. Charlie Greive of Flatonia passed away in the Shiner Hospital Friday, September 29, 1972, following an illness of 10 months. She reached the age of 55 years, 9 months and 26 days. Services were held Saturday, September 30, at 4:00 p.m. in the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Flatonia. Co-celebrants of the Holy Mass were Rev. Anthony Matula, Msgr. Edmund Bily, Rev. Robert Schmidt, and Rev. Marcus Valenta. Interment was made in the Flatonia Catholic Cemetery. Pallbearers were her nephews, Harvey Barta, Paul Michalec and Troy Yoakum, all of Houston, Kenneth Tronicek of Shiner, Paul Bonorden of Victoria and Clyde Wayne Baros of Corpus Christi. Rosary was recited Friday at 8:00 p.m. at the Smith Funeral Home Chapel, Flatonia, led by the Rev. Anthony Matula. Mrs. Greive, nee Lillie Faltisek, was born December 3, 1916, daughter of Frank and Mary (Brosch) Faltisek in Lavaca County. She was married to Charlie Greive June 15, 1937 in St. Joseph Catholic Church in Moulton. They farmed and lived in the Moulton area, moving to Flatonia in January of 1946. She is survived by her husband, Charlie Greive; a son, Leslie J. Greive, a daughter, Jeanne Greive, and grandsons, James and Chuck Greive, all of Flatonia; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Faltisek of Flatonia; two brother, Ted Faltisek of San Leandro, California, Jerry Faltisek of Flatonia; three sisters, Mrs. Mayme Barta of Moulton, Mrs. Milert (Evelyn) Antrich of Houston and Mrs. Emil (Viola) Bonorden of Victoria.
