Shiner Gazette 6 Dec 1973 Willie Greive of Flatonia, formerly of the Novohrad-Moulton community, passed away Sunday morning, November 18, 1973 in Stevens Convalescent Home, Hallettsville, at the age of 83 years, 1 month and 21 days. Funeral services were held Monday, November 19 from the Smith Funeral Home, Flatonia, and continued at 2:30 p.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church at Praha. Rev. Marcus Valenta officiated at the Funeral Mass, assisted by Monsignor Alois J. Morkovsky and Rev. Anthony Matula. Burial was in the Praha Catholic Cemetery. Pallbearers were Edwin and Bernard Greive, Louis Janek, Boniface Okruhlik, Gary Krause and Paul Wayne Beale. Surviving are one son, Joe Greive; one daughter, Mrs. Paul (Rose) Beale; two grandchildren, all of Flatonia; two sisters, Mrs. Charlie (Mary) Janek of Schulenburg, Mrs. Adolph (Emma) Vahalik of Shiner; two brothers, Louis Greive of Flatonia and Eddie Greive of Temple. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mrs. Emilie Klekar Greive, February 14, 1972; his father, H. B. Greive, March 9, 1943; his mother, Mrs. Josephine Pesek Greive, July 27, 1945; five brothers, Richard J. Greive, October 8, 1969; A. S. (Tony) Greive, April 9, 1959, Emil Greive, November 2, 1959, Rudolph Henry Greive, February 16, 1963 and one in infancy; two sisters, Mrs. Frank (Tillie) Janek, May 19, 1959, and Mrs. Joseph V. (Anna) Okruhlik, April 9, 1967.
