Rites held for A. S. (Tony) Grieve

Funeral services were held for A. S. (Tony) Grieve, 65, 1105 Bandera Road, prominent San Antonio restaurant man since 1926, who died Thursday, April 9, in a San Antonio Hospital.

He is survived by his wife; a daughter, Mrs. Mardi Jean Johnson, San Antonio; four sisters, Mrs. Tillie Janek, Mrs. Annie Okruhlik, both of Flatonia, Mrs. Emma Baulek, Yoakum, Mrs. Mary Janek, Schulenburg; six brothers, Emil, Henry, Louis, Willie and Ed Greive, all of Flatonia; and Richard Grieve of Victoria.

Rosary was recited in Holy Rosary Chapel Sunday at 7:30 p.m. Requiem High Mass was offered Monday, April 13 at 9:00 a.m. in Holy Rosary Chapel with Rev. Father Louis A. Trawalter, S.M., officiating.

Interment took place in Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery with full military honors. The remains rested in state in Holy Rosary Chapel.

Mr. Grieve was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus, Hermann Sons Harmonia Lodge No.1, Elks Club, Texas Restaurant Association, and the Texas Livestock Association.
