Emil Grieve of Praha passed away on November 29 at his home following an extended illness. At the time of his death he had reached the age of 70 years. Funeral services were held from Smith Funeral Home in Flatonia on November 5 at 9:30 a.m. with continued services at Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church in Praha Rev. Marcus Valenta officiated at Requiem High Mass and last rites. Rev. Vaclav Bily of Blessing and Rev Anders of Cistern were present in the sanctuary. The body was lain to rest in Praha Catholic Cemetery. Pallbearers were Emil; Ernest and Henry Janek, Bonnie Okruhlik, Joe and Bernard Grieve Survivors besides his wife, one son, Edwin Grieve, of San Antonio, two daughters Mrs. Ben (Earline) Petrash of Beaumont and Mrs. Bill (Isabelle) Frida of San Antonio, three sisters Mrs. Joe (Anna) Okruhlik of Flatonia, Mrs. Adolph (Emma)Vahalik of Shiner and Mrs. Charles (Mary ) Janek of Schulenburg, five brothers, Richard Grieve of Victoria, Willie Grieve of Moulton. Henry Louis and Edward Grieve all of Flatonia. His sister, Mrs. Frank Janek, and a brother, Anton Grieve, preceded him in death.
