Pioneer Fayette County Resident Expires

Frank Grieve, Pioneer resident of Fayette County for the past half a century, passed away quietly at this home near Flatonia following an illness of several weeks.

Mr. Grieve, who had been in apparent good health until two weeks ago, was suddenly stricken ill and succumbed to the attack Sunday evening, May 17th.

Deceased was born and reared in the Novohrad section. He was active and instrumental in the progress of the surrounding communities and always willing to offer his services when they were needed. He was a devoted father and a good provider for his family.

Funeral Services were held Tuesday morning, May 19, from the family residence and a Solemn High Mass was held at Sacred Heart Church in Flatonia at 9:00 o' clock Rev Joseph Putska officiating at the last sad rites at Flatonia Catholic Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Emil, Willie, Louis and Henry Grieve, Joe and Frank Rosenauer.

Mr. Grieve is survived by his grief stricken wife, one son, Henry Grieve of Moulton, three daughters, Mrs. Henry Novak, Mrs. John Marik and Miss Francis Grieve all of Flatonia, two Brothers H. V. Grieve of Novohrad and Albert Grieve of Los Angeles, California, seven grandchildren and one great Grandchild also survive.

The Sticker in common with many friends of the family extend sincere condolences.
