Henry Grieve, of the Novohrad section, passed away at the home of his son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Fr. Janek, Tuesday morning, March 9, 1943 at the age of 80 years.

Surviving are his wife, née Miss Josephine Pesek, seven sons and four daughters; namely Emil, William, Anton, Henry, Richard, Eddie and Louis; Mrs. Frank Janek, Mrs. Joe Okruhlik, Mrs. Vahalik, and Mrs. John Janek.

Funeral services were held Thursday at 10 AM at the Praha Catholic Church and interment in the Praha Catholic Cemetery.

We extend sympathy to the bereaved survivors.

This is a prominent name in the Flatonia area and I have a good friend by that last name. My understanding is that the original spelling was Greive and most retain that spelling, however the late Joe Grieve, who ran City Market in Flatonia for years, used the Grieve spelling. It is my understanding that they are all related.
