FlatoniaA -- Joe H. Grieve, 84, of Flatonia, died Thursday, Sept. 20, 2001.

He was born Feb. 14, 1917, in Praha, to the late Willie and Amelia Klecker Greive. He was a businessman and was former owner of Grumpy's Motor Inn and Restaurant in Flatonia. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Flatonia.

Survivors: daughter, Sandra Krause of Flatonia; and three grandchildren.

Preceded in death by: wife, Mildred Grieve; parents; and one sister.

A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. tonight at Smith Funeral Home chapel.

Services will be 11 a.m. Sunday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Flatonia, the Rev. Charles Carolan officiating.

Burial will be at Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery in Flatonia. Smith Funeral Home, Flatonia, 361-865-3311.
