Graveside services for Elsa F. Hagens, 86, of Denison, formerly of LaGrange, were held Jan. 4 in the LaGrange City Cemetery. The Rev. Walter Hildebrandt officiated.

Mrs. Hagens, who died Jan. 1, was born in Freyburg Aug 8, 1911, the daughter of the late Louis and Amalia (Koopmann) Futschik. She was united in marriage with Wilburn F. Hagens in Swiss Alp Sept. 25, 1935.

Mr. Hagens preceded her in death July 1, 1987. Mrs. Hagens was a member of the United Evangelical Lutheran Church at Swiss Alp.

Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Erma-Gene and Wallace Smith of Denison; a brother, William Futschik and his wife Alvera of LaGrange; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral arrangements were under the direction of the Koenig-Peel & Strickland Funeral Home.
