Victoria Advocate 1 Oct 1999 Yoakum - Adolf V. Hajek, 69, of Yoakum, died Wednesday, Sept. 29, 1999. He was born Aug. 25, 1930, in Praha, to Angelina Havrda Hajek of Flatonia and the late Henry J. Hajek. He was a retired truck driver of Tesoro Petroleum and was Catholic. Survivors: wife, Viola Frazer Hrabovsky Hajek; daughter, Pamela Farmer of Yoakum; stepdaughter, Shirley Ann Sargent of Shiner; son, Ervin Adolph Hajek of Yoakum; stepson, James Alvin Hrabovsky of Yoakum; mother; sisters, Della Bartos, Lillie Vanicek, Annie Bartos and Rosie Koncaba, all of Flatonia and Emma Welfel of Yoakum; brother, Henry Hajek, Jr. of Benton, Ark.; four grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; and two great-stepgrandchildren. Preceded in death by: daughter, Betty Jean Hajek; one grandson; and one great-grandson. A wake service will be 7 p.m. Saturday at Buffington Funeral Home chapel. Services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, the Rev. Charles Sonnier officiating. Burial will be at St. Ann's Catholic Cemetery. Buffington Funeral Home, Yoakum, (361) 293-2333.
