Corpus Christi Caller Times May 05,2002 Emil Joe Hajek, Jr., 61 of Corpus Christi, Texas, passed away Thursday, May 2, 2002. He was born July 28, 1940 in Flatonia, Texas to Emil Joe Hajek, Sr. and Stella Maley Hajek. He was a U.S. Army veteran, was a Paratrooper in the 82nd Airborne and saw action in Santa Domingo. He was employed by ASARCO for 21 years and then worked for Southwest Marine in Ingleside for 9 years. He was preceded in death by his mother, Stella Hajek on November 1, 2001; two brothers, Edward and Frank; two sisters, Mary and Theresa. He is survived by his dearest friend, Freda Hammons of Corpus Christi; one son, Jeffrey Hajek of Mathis, Texas; one daughter, Jennifer Denton of Mathis, Texas; father Emil Joe Hajek, Sr. of Calallen, Texas; one brother Steve (Bert) Hajek of Sandia, Texas; four sisters, Dolores (Sam) Garrison of Cisco, Texas, Emily Hajek of Corpus Christi, Texas, Pat (Ed) Nesrsta of San Antonio, Texas and Edie (O.A) Wilson of Calallen, Texas; one grandchild. Visitation will begin at 4 p.m. Sunday. The Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m.
Sunday in Sawyer-George Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral service will be conducted
at 10 a.m. Monday, May 6, 2002 in Sawyer-George Funeral Home Chapel with Rev.
Matthew Lyng and Rev. Bevans Welder officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial
