Lavaca County Tribune 14 Feb 1958 Burns Prove Fatal to Shiner Man The burns he suffered ten days previously proved fatal for Henry V. Hajek, 86, of near Shiner. He died at the Wagner Hospital Monday, February 10. The fatal accident occurred when his nightshirt caught fire from a match. Funeral services were held Wednesday from the Catholic Church, Father John Hanacek officiating. The deceased was born in Praha and there he was married to Mary Kotrlik who
survives him with three sons, Anton in Victoria, Louis in Placedo, Charles at
Shiner and six daughters Mrs. Robert (Mary) Mikus, Wharton, Mrs. Frank (Annie)
Novak, Shiner, Mrs. Jim (Julia) Bortel, Inez, Mrs. John (Angeline) Svatek, Eagle
Lake, Mrs. James (Emma) Koliba and Mrs. Willie (Ella) Koliba of Victoria. There
