Moulton - Julius Hajek of the Scotts community, between Moulton and Flatonia, passed away at the Wagner Memorial Hospital in Shiner Monday, January 19, 1970 at 1:00 p.m. at the age of 66 years, 9 months and 16 days.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, January 21 at 9:00 a.m. at the Smith Funeral Home Chapel, Moulton, and at 9:15 a.m. at the St. Joseph's Catholic Church with Father Robert Schmidt officiating. Interment was in the Moulton Catholic Cemetery.

Rosary was recited Tuesday at the Smith Funeral Home at 7:00 p.m.

Mr. Hajek was born in Gonzales County, April 3, 1903, the son of Anton and Anastasia (Machac) Hajek. He was married to the former Helen Culak. They have farmed and ranched in the Scotts community for many years.

Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Helen Hajek; one son, Raymond Hajek of Corpus Christi; one daughter, Mrs. Victor (Evelyn) Stary of Corpus Christi; one brother, George Hajek of Houston; and two grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father, who died April 8, 1925; his mother on July 5, 1959; and a son, George Hajek on September 7, 1966. Posted by Matt Cross
