Stella Hajek, 89, of Robstown died Thursday, Nov. 1, 2001, in a Corpus Christi hospital.

She was born March 30, 1912, in Detroit to John and Mary Maley. She was a member of St. John of the Cross Catholic Church and attended the Bible Believers Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by two sons, Edward and Frank; two daughters, Mary and Theresa; and a grandson, Dennis.

She is survived by her husband, Emil Joe Hajek of Robstown; two sons, Joe Hajek of Corpus Christi and Steve (Bert) Hajek of Sandia; four daughters, Dolores (Sam) Garrison of Cisco, Emily Hajek of Corpus Christi, Pat (Ed) Nesrsta of San Antonio and Edie (O.A.) Wilson of Calallen; 24 grandchildren; and 45 great grandchildren.

A Rosary was recited at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 2, in the Sawyer-George Funeral Home Chapel.

The funeral services were conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 3, in the Sawyer-George Funeral Home Chapel. Burial followed in Robstown Memorial Park.
