Martha M. Hajovsky, 86, of Weimar died Tuesday, Jan. 2 at Parkview Manor Nursing Home in Weimar. Funeral services were held Thursday, Jan. 4 at St. Michael Catholic Church in Weimar with Rev. John Bily and Rev. John Peters officiating. Interment followed at the St. Michael Catholic Cemetery in Weimar. Mrs. Hajovsky was born March 6, 1914 in Fayette County. She attended St. Michael School and Weimar High School. She married John A. Hajovsky on June 17, 1935 in Weimar. She was a housewife and lived in Weimar for 78 years. She was a member of the Catholic Daughters of the Americas, KJZT, Girl Scouts of America, Literary Guild and St. Michael Cemetery Association. She also worked at Hill Bank and Trust Co. for several years. She served as secretary of the Cemetery Association for 42 years, until it became a perpetual care cemetery. She served as treasurer of the KJZT for a number of years, she served as a church sexton for many years, taking care of the altar and was also a supporter of the Weimar Heritage Museum. She is survived by her husband, John A. Hajovsky of Weimar, two sisters, Alma "Tuttie" Hajovsky of Weimar and Edna Neumeyer of Hallettsville. Pallbearers were Mark Seifert, Charles Neumeyer, Malcom Sumbera, David Hajovsky, Weldon Dukes and Joe Hajovsky. Memorial donations may be made to St. Michael Endowment Fund or Weimar Heritage Society Museum
