Victoria Advocate March 9, 2003 Beeville - Freda Juenger Hammons, 99, of Beeville, died Saturday, March 8, 2003. She was born Jan. 16, 1904, in Beeville, to the late Anton and Marie Michalek Juenger. She attended Poesta School and graduated from St. Mary's Academy. She received a diploma at the University of Texas and was an English teacher and librarian in Fredericksburg. She owned Freda's Gift Shop for 30 years and was president of the Legion of Mary. She was a honorary member of St. Joseph's Altar Society and member of Zonta International, the Music Study Club, Historical Society and Gemischter Saenger Chor. She was active in Catholic Daughters of America, American Association of University Women, Beeville Garden Club and Beeville Art Association. Survivors: sister, Mary Boenig of Richmond. Preceded in death by: parents. Visitation will be 4-9 p.m. today at Galloway and Sons Funeral Home chapel. A rosary will be recited 7 p.m. tonight at the funeral home chapel. Services will be 11 a.m. Monday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, the Rev. Patrick Donohoe officiating. Burial will be at St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery. Galloway and Sons Funeral
