Memorial services for Ethlyn Hancock, 75, of West Point are set for Saturday, Jan. 25 [2003] at 11 a.m. at Sergeant Memorial Funeral Home in La Grange with Deacon Mike Meismer officiating.

Hancock died Jan. 16 [2003] at Towers Nursing Home in Smithville.

Born May 11, 1927 in La Grange, she was the daughter of Joe and Kathrine (Schielack) Sulak. She married her first husband Rudy Adamek March 30, 1948 and her second husband, Tom Hancock Dec. 29, 1964 in La Grange. She was a waitress at Cottonwood Inn Restaurant for many years. She owned a liquor store in Smithville.

Survivors include two sisters, Evelyn Ermis and Adela Kubesch, both of La Grange; one brother Ludwig Sulak of La Grange; and nine nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husbands; one son, Dennis; two sisters, Olga and Clara; and one brother, Bernard.

Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society or Fayette County Animal Shelter.

Sergeant Memorial Funeral Home of La Grange is in charge of arrangements.
